Diagnostic Services

  • Clinical Pathology: The department is involved in disease diagnosis through examination of blood, urine, body fluids and tissues (biopsy).
  • Post mortem examination: The department is involved in Postmortem examination of carcasses referred from the college livestock farm, teaching hospital, the Department ofAnimal Husbandry and Animal Welfare, Department of Forest& Wildlife and also from some farmers/pet owners.
  • Others: The academic staff has been rendering technical help to some of the M.Phil and Ph.D. students of other institutions such as Pondicherry University, VCRC, MTIHS.
  • Training: The Department is also engaged in extension activities by way of participating in the training programme for farmers and school children.
